George van Wensem

A “veteran” of over thirty years in public practice, George takes pride in getting to know each clients situation, and loves to help them grow their businesses, save taxes, and create wealth.

George and his wife Shelly fulfilled a long-time dream by moving to Vancouver Island in 2011, where they are enjoying living on their three acres of peace and tranquility. George and Shelly’s son, daughter-in-law and grand-daughter live in nearby Victoria. The Vancouver Island branch of van Wensem and Associates is run from George’s home in Saanichton.

George enjoys cycling, hiking, curling, reading and tending the yard in his spare time.

Carol Vukets

Carol has been working with George for over fifteen years, becoming a full partner in the firm in 2017. This is Carol’s second foray in public practice. In between she held a number of Controller positions with a variety of companies, both in Manitoba and British Columbia. Carol takes pride in understanding each client’s situation and business needs and enjoys working with them to fulfill their specific needs.

Carol and her husband Jim are recent empty nesters residing in Cloverdale. They enjoy spending time with their family and grand dog in their spare time.

Lynn Kerslake

Lynn Kerslake has been working as part of George’s team since 2005 and is the office manager at van Wensem & Vukets. Lynn keeps us all organized by making sure all deadlines are met and greets all our clients at our front counter in Surrey. She is also the primary liaison with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Lynn’s office experience began in 1998 in the medical device industry, first as an office manager and then as an executive assistant.

Lynn and her husband like to spend time at their getaway in Cultus Lake. Lynn has two married daughters and one young grand-daughter – who she loves spending time with and enjoys travel and keeping active.

Matthew Vukets

Matthew has been with us since 2014 when he started working part time while attending University. When he graduated in 2016 he continued working with us on a full time basis. Matthew is working towards his CPA certification. He enjoys learning about clients businesses and implementing the newest technologies.

Matthew resides in Clayton with his roommate Luna (dog). On his time off he enjoys adventures with Luna and spending time with family and friends.

Luna is a mini Australian Shepard born August 30th 2017. She is a hard worker as at only 10 weeks old she was already in our office full time. She specializes in greeting clients and getting pats and belly rubs.

When she isn’t at work she enjoys running free at the dog park and playing fetch.
